Alfa Romeo 1900 1950 to 1959

Initially fitted with a 575-16 or 600-16 crossply tyre, the 1900 later became an early adopter of radial tyres, sporting a 165R400 radial for all versions from 1952 (or possibly even earlier).

Ground zero for post-war Alfa Romeo, the 1900 was a lot of firsts for the company, as a production-line unitary body car. A handsome saloon, it became a 2-door in shortened form, gained more power in 1900TI form, 5-speed gearboxes for the Super Sprint, and so on. It was a handy competition car, and available for coachbuilders to make amazing creations on, like the BAT cars.
