<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Alfa Romeo&nbsp;GTV 1995 to 2005</strong></span></p> <p>Alfa hadn't offered a sporty coupe since the demise of the GTV6. The company had been undergoing a lot of restructuring since the Fiat takeover, and its model range now reflected a pragmatic amount of platform sharing with its parent. So when Alfa returned to the sportscar market with these models, it based them on a shared Fiat platform and utilised its newly established high-quality manufacturing and standards. It then added the engines that made Alfa unique within the Fiat group (the 2.0 Litre Twinspark and V6 Busso), and acclaimed Pininfarina styling for the GTV coupe and Spider convertible. The car was a success by Alfa standards, with healthy sales, and its production run saw many additions to the range of engines and trim, plus a significant update in 2003 (new engines and styling). It didn't take over the sportscar world, that market usually demands RWD and less edgy styling, and Alfa's build quality reputation was still damaging new models. However, it's a fun car and deserves its good reputation.</p> <p></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
