Alvis 12/50 and 12/60 1923 to 1932

The 12/50 SA, SB, SC, TE and TG models were fitted with a 29x4.95 (500-20) crossply tyre.

The TF model received a 29x4.4 (450-21) crossply tyre.

The TH model had a 29x4.4 (450-21) crossply in 1927, but went to a 29x4.95 (500-20) in 1928.

The SD model had a 29x4.95 (500-20) crossply.

The final TJ model of 1931-1932 was fitted with a 30x5 (500-20) crossply tyre.

The 12/60 was fitted with 30x5 (500-20) crossply tyres.

Alvis's 12/50 was a highly successful chassis that was constantly updated over its long life. Avalable in a large range of body styles in 2 and 4 door forms. Alvis engines were well respected, and its cars were both sporting and high-quality. The 12/50 was retired in 1929, but reintroduced as the TJ model in 1931 as sales of the front-wheel drive models were flagging.

The 12/60 was a more sporting version of the 12/50, sold from 1931 to 1932. It was a continuation of earlier, more sportscar type versions of the 12/50.
