Tyre Diameter: 14, Profile: 80, Width: 165/80 | Austin A55 & A60 Cambridge 1959 to 1969
The standard tyre for the lifetime of the model was a 590-14 crossply (640-15 on the Countryman estate version). A suitable radial replacement for this would be a 165R14 (or a 185R14 for the Countryman, but please do check clearance on this wider tyre, and also that you have the wider wheel).

Although Austin's model designations and names started the 1960s by doubling-up, overlapping and reusing the same ones, in the same way that had made the 1950s a bit confusing, at least the looks were all new! The previous model A55 Cambridge medium saloon gained a new body, drawn up by Pininfarina, with plenty of modish fin and chrome. It was also sold as a Morris, Wolseley, MG and Riley in an effort to cover as much of the market as possible, then upgraded to the A60 in 1961 (a facelift and a bit more power).
