The Ten was initially fitted with a 400-19 crossply tyre, then an 18 inch wheel with a 450-18 tyre was fitted from 1934.
The small, family sized Ten was introduced to fit between the tiny Seven, and the established Twelve range of larger cars. It became Austin's best seller, available in a large range of body styles, from the humble van to sporty models, tourers, cabriolets and various different saloon types. It survived until the postwar period, as an emergency export model.
