Standard tyre fitment was a 525-21 crossply.
Developed from the successful 3 Litre, the 4.5 was a serious upgrade. Bigger engine (based on the 6.5 Litre model), more power, and the strength that served it well in distance racing. Enthusistic owners bought these cars based on their racing success, and clothed them in luxurious and sporty tourer and saloon bodies. It was also the basis of the iconic supercharged Blower Bentleys, that went so fast, captured the imagination of all, but didn't win!
