M1 1979 to 1980

Original fitment was a staggered 205/55R16 radial front tyre, and a 225/50R16 rear.

The M1 wasn't a success at the time, despite a brilliant engine and styling, and a starring role in celebrity racing. It's delivery was delayed and blighted with issues. It was also perhaps a bit too BMW for the slightly exclusive supercar market. However, it started the M cars, and contained some really amazing tech.
