Bristol 407 408 409 410 & 411 1961 to 1976

Bristol's classic style, with V8 power.

The 407, 408 and 409 were fitted with a 600-16 crossply. This can be replaced with a 600R16 or 185R16 radial in suitable speed ratings.

The last of the 409 models (1968) were fitted with a 15-inch wheel, with either a 670-15 crossply, or a 185VR15 radial (which can replace the crossply if required).

The 410 and earlier 411 were fitted with a 670-15 crossply, or a 185VR15 radial option. In 1975 the 411 had a 185VR15 as standard, and in 1976 it got a 205VR15. The runflats fitted to some 411 are no longer available.

These cars represent Bristol in its pomp. Fitting American (Chrysler) V8 engines gave these cars performance to match the styling they inherited from the 406. Power, speed, sophistication and luxury were improved with every iteration, but the styling stayed constant until the last of the 411s (which gained a new nose). The 411 sold very well, in several versions, and was the last of this style of Bristol.
