Standard tyre fitment was a 600-18 crossply tyre.
Developed prewar, the 175 was an attempt to have a larger, more luxurious car without the expense of the over-the-top V12 165 model. It had independent suspension, and was reasonably up-to-date for the 1940s. A luxury car, it was styled by coachbuilders into several body types. There was a racing S version, which did very well in road events, and the longer wheelbase 178 and 180 versions.
