The iconic DeLorean became a film star, and the story of its making is just as worthy of the Hollywood treatment. Built in Northern Ireland, styled by Giugiaro, fettled by Lotus, made of stainless steel (sort of), it should have been a success. But it wasn't. Lots were built though, and affection for it means it is better loved now than it was when new.
The staggered fitment of 195/60R14 front, and 235/60R15 rear sizes was an effort to fix the handling of this rear-engined car, and it originally ran on Goodyear Eagle NCT tyres. These haven't been available for years, leading to issues with matching tyre sets. There is now a Hankook option in the correct sizes, and it's worth getting some now!
