The F102 was a very late two-stroke car, and the last DKW. It replaced the Auto-Union 1000, and was modern in construction and looks. However, the public was losing interest in 2-strokes, and there were some reliability issues, and VW was waiting to take over the group of companies that DKW and Auto-Union belonged to.
