Ford Consul Zephyr & Zodiac Mk2 1956 to 1962
The Consul was equipped with a 590-13 crossply tyre. A suitable radial replacement would be a 165SR13.
Zephyrs and Zodiacs came with 640-13 crossply. A suitable radial replacement would be 640/700R13.
The second version of Fords family saloon followed the successful marketing plan of the first. The Consul had a lower level of trim and a four-cylinder engine, the Zephyr had a different front end with a six-cylinder engine, and the Zodiac had the larger engine and all the bells and whistles. The styling was more angular, and saw fins for the first time, and there was a lot of chrome. A new lower roof added to the style in later 'Lowline' form. Highly successful, and available as a convertible, and very rare Estate.
