Standard fitment was initially a 500/525-16 crossply tyre. By 1954 there was a 15-inch wheel with a 550-15 or 590-15 crossply.
Hillman's prewar Minx was updated with full-width styling for the postwar world, a unitary body and independent front suspension. Regular updates kept it fresh, and there were bodystyles like estate and drophead, and the export-aimed Calfornian coupe.
