Originally fitted with a 185/70VR15 radial front tyre and a 215/60VR15 rear. There was the option of 205/55VR16 front and 225/50VR16 rear tyres on 16 inch rims.

The only non-turbo 911 for a number of years. Built from 1978 to 1983. As usual, Porsche gradually developed the SC, improving power and economy whilst offering extra body styles. This was cost effective behaviour for a company going through a transitional period, and pondering its future line-up of models.
