The original 911 high-performance version. Built from 1966 to 1973. Porsche began to develop alternative versions of its 911and diversify the range. As with the 356, competition was a major element in the changes made.

Although originally fitted with a 165HR15 radial tyre this was quickly upgraded to a 185/70VR15 in 1968.
