Standard fitments for the various Mille models are:
1000 Saloon 1961 to 1970 - a 560-12 crossply was fitted as standard, a radial equivalent would be either a 145SR12 or 155SR12. Later models like the Special and GLS had a 145SR13 when a larger 13-inch wheel was fitted.
Rallye 1 and 2 models 1970 to 1976 - a 145SR13 radial tyre was fitted as standard
1000 Coupe 1963 to 1971 - a 145SR13 radial tyre was fitted as standard
The Simca 1000 was a staple of French car sales for most of its long life. Cheap, roomy and economical. Performance improved over time, as better engines were introduced from other Simca models.
