Originally fitted with a 165-380 tyre, this can be replaced with a radial 165SR15 size.
The Ariane took the Simca Vedette, removed its V8 engine, and fitted a smaller 4-cylinder from the Aronde. Seen as a response to fuel prices, and tax on big engined cars, it fulfilled the Simca concept of big car and small engine.
