Originally fitted with a 15-inch wheel, the Vedette had a 650-15 crossply tyre as standard, with the option of a wider 670-15. A suitable radial replacement for this would be a 185SR15.
The last cars had a 13-inch wheel, with a 640-13 crossply as standard.
Simca bought the Vedette from Ford of France, as they wanted a large family car to compliment the smaller Aronde.
