MR2 Mk1 cars are fitted with a 185/60R14 radial front tyre, and a 205/60R14 rear.
MR2 Mk2 cars have 185/55R15 radial front tyres, and a 205/50R15 rear.
MR2 Mk3 cars are fitted with the same size tyres as the Mk2, until 2002, when a 16-inch rear wheel was fitted, with a 215/45R16 tyre.
Toyota's Mid-engined Runabout was a bold move in the 80s, a very exotic little sportscar for such a sensible company. Good performance and looks, and a fun image made it a good seller. The Mk2 was much bigger and curvier, and got more of everything, it sold well too. And the Mk3 returned to the small car concept, with an open-top roadster to compete with the MX-5 and Elise.
