Width: 185 | Triumph 2.5 PI 2500TC & 2500S 1968 to 1977

 
The 2.5 PI and 2500TC were both fitted with 185HR13 tyres on steel wheels; and the 2500S came with 175HR14 tyres on Stag alloy wheels.
 
In 1968 Triumph fitted the fuel-injected 2.5 engine from the TR5 into the 2000, creating a rapid executive express. Think '60s M5. This offered a huge jump in power and speed, but the fuel-injection gained a reputation for unreliability. Triumph offered a detuned carburettor version, the 2500TC in 1974, which was a bit cheaper. They then came up with the definitive 2500S in 1975, with a more powerful carburettor-fed engine.
