Standard fitment is a 155SR13 radial tyre, with the option of a 175/70SR13 on a wider rim. The GTE models are commonly fitted with a 14-inch wheel and a 185/60HR14 radial tyre.
The Astra was a highly successful small hatchback based on the Opel Kadett platform. It gained saloon and estate versions, and spawned the ubiquitous Astramax van. Seen everywhere once upon a time, and highly competent cars, the GTE hot-hatches were fast, if occasionally wayward.
