Vauxhall's peak Americana fun models were fitted with crossply tyres. The lower-spec Velox had a 640-13 on a 13 inch wheel, and the luxurious Cresta was fitted with a 590-14 on a 14 inch wheel. The latter is no longer available, but can be replaced with a radial 165R14 tyre.

Vauxhall fully embraced American styling with the PA models, especially the top of the range Cresta. Fins, chrome and sloping windows ruled.
