Standard fitment was a 165SR14, with the option of a 185/70HR14 on various wheel widths.
The K70 was originally intended to be a small, family saloon NSU, but VW took it over to help replace their aging rear-engine platform. It didn't stay for long, as VW's own front-wheel drive platforms quickly replaced it, and it didn't sell in big numbers.
