Tyre Diameter: 15 | Magnette ZA & ZB 1953 to 1958
MG Magnette ZA & ZB 1953 to 1958
With the creation of BMC, MG became part of the push for platform sharing across the organisation. The Magnette had the Wolseley 4/44 platform, along with good suspension, reasonable power and elegantly sporty styling. It proved to be a hit when released as the ZA, and gained a bit of power in upgraded ZB form a few years later. Popular still, and its looks have lasted well.
The Magnette was fitted with a 550-15, or 590-15 crossply tyre on it's original factory wheel (4J). A suitable radial replacement would be a 165R15 tyre.
