900 & 900 Turbo 1978 to 1993

Saab 900 & 900 Turbo

Probably the most 'Saab' of all Saab's products in the minds of many, the 900 was an upgrade of the successful 99. This FWD family car was available as both 2 and 4 door models, with hatchback or boot, or convertible; and developed strongly throughout its long life, keeping pace with engineering, styling and marketing fashions. What remained consistent, was the emphasis on safety and ergonomics. Also carried over from the 99, was the Turbo model. Power was upgraded over the lifetime of the Turbo model, leading to the higher performance Aero T16S and Carlsson editions. These are the most desired models.

The 900 (and its cheaper 90 variant) had a long life, and many versions. So there were several tyre options offered.

Saab 900 (1978-1986) - The standard tyre was a 165SR15, with the option of 175/70SR15. From 1983 to 1986 there was also the option of a metric wheel, fitted with a 180/65HR390 metric tyre.

Saab 900 (1987-1993) - The standard tyre was a 175/70SR15, with the option of 185/65TR15.
