TVR Grantura 1800S & MkIV 1965 to 1967

The revised, short-tailed ('Manx') 1800S model, and its longer-wheelbased replacement, the MkIV, was specified with a radial tyre in 165SR15 size. Made from 1965 to 1967.

TVR's Grantura was its first production model for the kit-car market, built from 1958 to 1967. It could be specified with a wide variety of easily sourced mechanicals from Ford, VW, Coventry-Climax or BMC, and was very popular. The little fibreglass coupe was rapidly developed and improved through several initial versions, then given a significant overhaul in 1962 MkIII form (new chassis, new suspension, and new styling). The MkIII became the 1800S in 1965, with a cut-off tail and room for bigger engines in a modified chassis, which was again replaced by the MkIV in 1966. This last version had an extended wheelbase, and was a bit more plush!
